Clarion Hotel Helsinki ★★★★

Breakfast was fantastic, there was so much choice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were cold in the room and reception sent us up an extra heater. Bed very comfortable. Good location, tram was only outside the door.

The cafe was closed when we arrived at 4.15 and the restaurant didn't open until 6 so our only choice for food was a pot noodle at €5 each!

Clean rooms, friendly staff; wide range of products at breakfast; nice free to use fitness room, pool and sauna!

Great modern hotel in Helsinki. The views from the room and the rooftop bar were amazing. Very modern and great facilities. Excellent breakfast choices too.

Nice new hotel just next to western harbour (Länsisatama). It has very good sauna and pool on top floor. Part of pool has glass floor so swimming over there feels like hanging in air on 16th floor... Breakfast was superb, quite everything you need. Rooms were clean, ice machine outside in hallway.

I asked about accessing the pool and sauna, when checking in. It would have been helpful to be informed there was a bathrobe and slippers in the room. Good they were there, even better had I known. Had trouble connecting the Chromecast, since the instructions didn't fully match reality. No big deal. Ended up watching on my phone.

I spent 3 days in Helsinki and 2 days in Tallinn during my 5-day trip. First and foremost, let me assure you that transportation is not a concern. Tramway numbers 7 and 9 pass right in front of the hotel. If anyone is considering a trip to Tallinn, there can't be a better hotel. It's only 300 meters from Terminal 2. Make sure to take the Tallink brand ferry; other brands depart from different locations. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of high-quality food. You couldn't ask for more in a breakfast. The room is comfortable, the bed is cozy, and the bathroom is spacious and nice. I noticed there's a pool on the 16th floor, but I didn't have a chance to use it. For those who love it, it offers an excellent view and is warm : ) The hotel is about 1 km from the city center, but don't think of it as distant. You simply walk down a straight road from the center to reach the hotel. Heading south, every road leads to this hotel. It's a perfect hotel for travelers. On the first day, I bought a day ticket for 11 euros. I took tram number 7 from in front of the hotel to the center, then switched to numbers 2 and 3 in sequence. Don't bother with hop-on-hop-off; these two trams cover all of Helsinki. If you book a room on the upper floors of the hotel, you'll have a view of the entire city. I recommend the sea-facing rooms on the 11th floor and above. I stayed on the 11th floor. There's a bar on the 16th floor called Roof. It's a classy and beautiful venue. There's a DJ performance in the evening, I believe on Fridays and Saturdays. Overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel. The price-to-value ratio is excellent.

Sauna not hot enough!

The staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. The views are spectacular and has great facilities like the pool, gym and sauna.

I keep going back to this Clarion hotel for the stunning views, fantastic facilities and amazing breakfast (that caters for a variety of intolerances!!)

I would prefer it to be a bit closer to the attractions near the market place and city centre but it's not really that far either. I really liked everything else about this experience so nothing to add to this.

The view from elevator is stunning. The breakfast is very delicious with a great selection. Staff is very friendly and check-in went really smooth. I would definitely stay here again. Nice rooftop bar.

We spent 2 nights and there were issues. On the first night electricity turned off and came back during sleeping and turned on the lights. On the second night there was a false fire alarm and we had to go down on foot from the 10th floor. I think it is just bad luck.

Breakfast was really good, large selection of various produce. I would especially like to mention the egg station!

It was clean and close to everything. Breakfast was great.

The front desk woman didn’t know what she was doing and refunded us and then charged us.

Fantastic view from the room, the helpful and friendly staff at the reception, and an exceptional breakfast with a wide selection of vegetarian/non-vegetarian foods. The hotel location is excellent since it is close to the metro station Ruoholahti (5 minutes walk). Worth mentioning are saunas and an outdoor swimming pool on the 16th floor.

Was close to where we were traveling from the next day. Very clean & quality services. Staff were friendly & helpful
